FOUNDRY GRADUATION – CLASS OF 2019

Foundry celebrated the Graduating Class of 2019 across events in Hobart and Launceston this week.

Creatives were recognised for completion of their Associate Degree in Applied Design, awarded by UTAS, along with Specialised Diplomas across graphic design, film & photography, user experience and interior design, awarded by Swinburne University of Technology.

Foundry would like to thank these creatives for their hard work and commitment over the last 2-years, along with that of their tutors, Foundry staff, and the industry guest speakers that supported them along this journey.

A number of awards were presented on the night across the categories of academic achievement, industry and tutor feedback, and attendee choice. A special congratulations to all those who took home awards.

2019 Graduation Award Recipients

  • Academic Achievement: Kevin Hetebry – This award recognises the student with the highest Specialisation grade average.
  • Industry’s Choice: Kevin Hetebry – Graduate portfolios were circulated to members of industry to vote on which work they felt was most outstanding.
  • Tutor’s Choice Hobart: Marnie Wilson – Foundry Tutors in Hobart were asked to vote on which student they felt was most likely to succeed based on approach to learning and contribution to the classroom environment.
  • Tutor’s Choice Launceston: Kaiden Best – Foundry Tutors in Launceston were asked to vote on which student they felt was most likely to succeed based on approach to learning and contribution to the classroom environment.
  • People’s Choice Hobart: Marnie Wilson – Voted on the night in Hobart, attendees were asked to pick their favourite collection of work on display.
  • People’s Choice Launceston: Will Steen – Voted on the night in Hobart, attendees were asked to pick their favourite collection of work on display.
